Mendoza, March 18 Classic cars. Wines from another planet. Stars and history came together at Bodega Dante Robino to host the 19th edition of the Rally de las Bodegas, one of the most anticipated events of the year.

On Friday morning, as part of the first stage of the race, the eighty crews of classic and sports cars taking part in this edition visited Dante Robino to enjoy breakfast before continuing with the regularity tests. The rows of Malbec vines were the perfect backdrop for a long table that embodied the spirit of the winery’s wines: the legacy of great astronomers, an invitation to enjoy life, and the importance of the classic as a way to propel oneself toward a new universe.

Guests and participants also had the chance to discover the meaning of the numbers on their cars with the help of a numerologist, uncover the most important traits of their personalities alongside an astrologer, and tour the winery to learn about the winemaking and sparkling wine production process.

“Just as Kepler, Newton, Einstein, and all the great scientists in history needed the work of those who came before them, that legacy is also reflected in the history of wine, where generation after generation cared for the vineyards and improved the methods to make better wines every day — and in the cars we saw today, because if it hadn’t been for so many people taking care of them, treating them with love, and making sure to keep the original parts, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this spectacular event today,” said Nicolás Bruno, General Manager of Dante Robino.

This 19th edition is competing for the “Copa Park Hyatt” and is organized by the Club Mendoza Clásicos y Sport, with 80 participants from Argentina and abroad combining their passion for classic cars while enjoying the best landscapes of the Andes Mountains and, of course, the wine routes and the region’s most iconic wineries.
